Lara Dâmaso is a Swiss-Portuguese artist, performer and vocalist. Her polymorphic practice unfolds across both ephemeral and permanent forms, moving fluidly between performance, visual arts, and music. At its core, her work investigates the sensitive, vibratory dialogue between humans and the spaces they inhabit, exploring the relationship between voice and body through notions of transformation, fluidity, and interdependence. This approach enables her to establish a remarkably direct and emotional form of communication, grounded in the idea of listening as total presence.

Sustained by collaboration and exchange, her practice has brought her into dialogue with artists from various disciplines, including Rosa Noviello, Alex Lazaro, Luka Aron, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Lucy Railton, Canzonieri & Lord Spikeheart, Tarren Johnson, Ludwig Abraham, Puppies Puppies, Nikima Jagudajev, Isabel Lewis, Nile Koetting, Dora García, Cally Spooner, and Alicia Frankovich.

Her work has been presented internationally, including at Una Boccata d‘Arte / Fondazione Elpis (IT), Festival Novas Frequências (BR), Kunstmuseum Magdeburg (DE), Biennale Son (CH), Kunsthalle Wien (AT), Movement Festival Eaton (HK), Atonal (DE), Triennale Milano (IT), Terraforma x Kuboraum at the 60th Venice Biennale (IT), deSingel (BE), Centre Pompidou (FR), Tanzquartier Wien (AT), Gessnerallee (CH), Istituto Svizzero (IT), Kunsthalle Bern (CH), Centre d’Art Contemporain de Genève (CH), Kunsthalle Zürich (CH). From 2022-2024 Lara Dâmaso co-curated Les Urbaines festival. She is currently part of La Biennale College Musica 2026 and will premiere a new performance at La Biennale Musica 2026 in Venice.

For several years, she trained in ballet and contemporary dance before studying art and media at the Leipzig Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst and completing a BFA at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
